Welcome to Saving Animals for Everyone, also
known as S.A.F.E. Sanctuary.

We are an animal sanctuary located in Anthony, Florida, just 15 miles north of Ocala. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals. We have a Class 3 License issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which enables us to take in many types of animals: domestic, farm, and exotic, including small primates.
The Sanctuary provides a place for animals to live that are in need of a home. Many animals come to us because of unfortunate circumstances - some have been lost or abandoned, or just no longer wanted. We work with a number of state and local organizations, including animal welfare agencies, to make sure that animals they are unable to shelter or place are given a home.

We are also contacted by owners when they are unable to maintain the level of care the animals needs, due to relocation, financial, or health reasons. In rare cases, the animal may require special handling by a professional. In most cases, the owners want to make sure that good care is provided to the animal.

If the Sanctuary is unable to take in the animal, we will work with the owner to find another facility that is able to help.

We offer daily tours from 9am - 4pm at $10 per person, you must call for an appointment. we also offer a variety of other tours, memberships, and sponsorships.

Please contact us for more information regarding our facility.

Tornado Damages Our Sanctuary Two Animals Died

On April 14, 2009 at 9am, a tornado touched down within blocks of our sanctuary.  The resulting wind and hail damaged cages, knocked down trees, and threw debris killing two animals and wounding two others.  The estimated cost for debris clean up and cage repair is at least $2000.

We are already desperately in need of money this year due to the down turn in the economy.  This tragedy has left us with huge bills to pay.  Please consider sending monetary donations in any amount. As always, Pay-pal, checks, money orders, credit cards and cash will be gratefully accepted.

Thank you so much for caring so deeply about our animals.

Sincerely,
Lilly Baron

One Day Jungle Pass!

Presenting....

S.A.F.E. Sanctuary's
One Day Jungle Pass!

Put on your safari clothes and join us for a 'behind the scenes' look at S.A.F.E. Sanctuary!
You'll start off with a tour of our facility, and then have a chance to get some hands-on experience when you help us with our morning feeding (...or feeding frenzy, sometimes)! Then you will have access to our animals for a photography session. You'll work up an appetite working at S.A.F.E. and photographing the wildlife, so we'll serve you a catered lunch for two on our patio!
You get a full day for two at the Sanctuary for just $100.00! This is a great way for you to get an idea of what it is like working at an animal sanctuary and working with some exotic animals.
A One Day Jungle Pass is a great gift for yourself, your favorite animal lover, or for someone who is thinking about a career working with animals. The Jungle Pass is available to children under 18 if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. It's also a fun way to spend the day with your significant other or best friend. Our New Memorial Pond

Here is our new refurbished pond. It is surrounded by Florida fieldstone and has a lovely waterfall in the corner. The pond has always been a focal point of the sanctuary and our aim is to create a place of tranquility and contemplation.
We are now ready to begin landscaping in preparation of our Memorial Pond and Wall of Friends Project.
Ronnie Gaylord, Jr. of G.P. Masonry of Ocala, a family owned and operated business since 1982, is kindly donating his time in the construction of our Memorial Pond Columns and our Wall of Friends. We are very grateful to Ronnie, Gramps and All for taking on this very special project.

Above and beyond the call of duty.
We do our best to help find a home for the animals that we can not take. With a tiger, it was very hard to find a licensed facility to take the tiger since a lot of tiger sanctuaries are full. We kept looking for months and months and months and finally found a licensed facility to take the tiger. Safe sanctuary took 5 of its volunteers out to town and for two days built the tiger its new home!!! We’re happy to report as the finishing touches were being done, the tiger arrived. Now it's very happy in its new home, complete with pool and all.

thanks to all our volunteers!!
